Shopping at Sam’s Club just got so much easier and faster! You can now scan any product in the store, as you are shopping and pay for it, right from your SMARTPHONE using the new Scan & Go app, available for Android or iOS iPhone. I recently got to use the new app in-stores and this is my review of it, I hope you find it helpful.

The Scan & Go app by Sam’s Club is a new free app that allows members to scan products to virtually –then physically add a product to their cart while in-store and pay directly from the app. It is very user-friendly, intuitive and easy to use. To use the app, you must have a membership (keep reading below to find out how to get a free $20 Sam’s Club Gift Card with a new membership!) and you’ll need to log into your account with your email/username and password. Setting up the app to work on my phone took less than a minute. Once you’re logged in, scan any item’s barcode to add it to your cart. As you scan products, your total amount will update to reflect all the items you’ve scanned. Want more than one of an item? Just change the quantity using the app features and add it to your shopping cart. Change your mind? Swipe to delete it and set it back on the shelf.
If you’re like me and don’t have time to wait in line –with kids in tow, to pay for your order, the Scan & Go app is a LIFE-AND-TIME-SAVER! My shopping was such a breeze! I love how the app added up my total as I was shopping so it helped me to stay within my budget. Did I mention, I did not have to stand in line to check out?! I totally skipped the long lines!
You can pay for your total purchase, entirely from the app! You never have to stand in line at the checkout lane. After paying for your purchase on the app, just go directly toward the exit. All you have to do is show your barcode receipt and you can be on your way out in less than 5 minutes! This is great for a quick run and even for large orders!
I only had trouble scanning one item (a pack of Bratwurst Sausages) and that’s because it was heavily wrapped with clear plastic wrap. If you run into trouble, you can pick from a gallery of items or enter the product barcode into the app.
The Scan & Go App is a Nice Tool for Price Checking
The Scan & Go app is also great for items that might not be marked or even clearance and closeout products! I actually found an item that was marked down 65% off the retail tag! When you’re not sure about the price of an item, you can use the Scan & Go app to price check it (seriously, this feature ALONE is enough for me to download it right now)!
